IN KENTUCKY HAS GOTTEN EASIER!T
Visit your local DMV to select the new plate design when you register or renew your vehicle registration in the state of Kentucky (motorcycles and trailers aren't currently eligible). Personalized plates will also be offered for an additional fee.
$10 from each plate sold goes to our "OHV4KY Fund" which is managed by the DBBB/KYTLCA group doing business as a non-profit organization. The funds will be for the maintenance of roads/trails and also be available through a small grant program to any group in KY that qualifies and applies, serving both licensed and unlicensed OHV recreation. The formal grant application process will be launched in late 2024. Funds from plate purchases/renewals are disbursed once a year by the state, near the end of the calendar year. An annual financial report will be published and made public.
