SUMMARY:DBBB Lee County Clean Up Ride
DESCRIPTION:Volunteer Oppotunity – Help us clean the Lee County portion of the Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway \nThis event is open to EVERYONE—please share and invite others! We also definitely need pick up trucks to haul out the trash (can be bone stock and full size). \nWhat We Provide\n\nTrash bags\nRubber gloves\nA designated disposal area at the end of the day (in Beattyville).\nFood vouchers for the food trucks and restaurants at the Family Fun Day in Beattyville.\n\nWhat You Should Bring\n\nLunch and plenty of water\nA full tank of fuel before departure (don’t be that truck!)\nAny tools or gear that can help with trash pickup\nPick Up Truck if you have one we can use to haul trash\n\nThis is a great chance to give back and help keep the DBBB a great experience for all visitors. We hope to see strong involvement as we work together to protect and preserve these trails for future generations. \nCAMPING: \nIf you would like to come down and camp Friday and Saturday making a weekend of it\, Morrison’s Outdoor Adventures is providing free camping at 570 Old KY Hwy 11\nJeffersonville\, KY 40337. Please let us know if you are planning to camp with us. \nClean Up Day: \nWe will meet at 10am Saturday morning at the Junior Williamson Rest Area at 24 L&E Railroad Pl\, Slade\, KY 40376 (Slade Exit). We will break into multiple groups with trail leaders depart from there. \nWe will end the day at the Beattyville Main Street Cruise-In and family fun day. We will cruise in loaded with trash and dispose of everything in the Beattyville dumpsters literally at the event. After trash is deposited\, we will give out food vouchers (dinner on us) to participants good for food trucks and restaurants in town square. \n \n
