DESCRIPTION:2026 Spring Ride Tuesday May 12th – Sunday May 17th\n\nRegistration Cost\nFollowing Rides/Routes are not leaving from Callies. You will be contacted by the trail guide when and where to meet. These groups will end up at Callies on Friday 5/15 or Saturday 5/16 depending on Trail Leader \nMeeting Tuesday morning 5/12 -$250 – Trail Leader Luke Bogner\, returning to Callie’s Friday afternoon (1 group of 8) \nMeeting Tuesday Evening 5/12 or Wednesday morning 5/13 -$200 – Trail Leader John Lawson\, returning to Callie’s Friday afternoon (1 group of 8) \nMeeting Thursday morning 5/14 -$150 – Possible Trail Leaders Dan Kesterman\, Mike Morrison and/or Mark Black\, returning to Callie’s Friday afternoon (3 groups of 8 = 24 spots) \nMeeting Friday morning 5/15 -$100 – Possible Trail Leaders Darrell Brock and/or Rob Wagner\, returning to Callie’s Saturday afternoon (2 groups of 8 = 16 spots) \nSaturday starting and ending at Callie’s $100 (max 150 spots) \n\nSchedule \n\nThursday 5/14\n9am+  self guided rides for the day. Visit the stage area to find a group \n4pm-7pm  happy hour @: \n\nToad’s BARn & Grill 9943 Campton Road\, Stanton\, KY 40380 \nGrab a drink\, get some food and swap trail stories \n\n\n\nFriday 5/15\n8am – 10am  check-in and driver bag pick-up at the stage\n9am+  Self guided rides for the day. Visit the stage area to find a group\n4pm – 8pm  at the Stage \n\nCheck-in and driver bag pick-up Pot luck dinner (bring a main or side to share\, there will be prizes awarded for best items at the potluck!) \n\n\n\nSaturday 5/16\n7am – 9am  Check-in and driver bag pickup at the Stage \n9am – 9:30am  Group ride staging at the front of Callies \n6pm-7pm  Pizza around the Stage (no charge for registered vehicles\, fee for extra meals) \n7:30pm  Raffle \n\n\nSunday 5/17\nClean Up\n\n\nBe Aware \n\nRegistration does not include camping\, those arrangements need to be made outside of registration\nYou are expected to have a full tank of gas\nYour vehicle must be equipped with a spare tire\nYour vehicle must be in good operating condition (not smoking\, no fluid leaks)\nYou must have a GMRS radio\nRemember to always keep the vehicle behind you in sight\nNo alcohol on the trails\, bring plenty of other drinks and food\nIf you have locking lug nuts\, make sure you have the key\nTrail leader has the right to refuse you or your vehicle if any of the above are not met\nParticipants acknowledge they are taking part at their own risk and will not hold organizers or other participants responsible for any accidents or injuries\nNo refunds available\n\n\nDownload Event Schedule

Support the Byway and ride Thursday and Friday (self guided rides only) and then meet at Callie’s Campground on Saturday for guided rides\, food\, good times\, and a raffle. Camping at Callie’s Lake and Campground is not included and needs to be arranged separately. You can book a camping site at Callie’s here -> https://www.callieslakeandcampground.com/booking/\n\n  \nRegistered drivers for the event: Please make sure your vehicle is equipped with a GMRS radio\, first aid kit\, fire extinguisher\, and a full tank of fuel prior to the organized ride.\n\n  \nPre-registration is required to participate. DESCRIPTION:April 22-27\n\nThis Spring’s “Back The Byway” event is presented by The Daniel Boone Backcountry Byway stewardship fund and The Kentucky Toyota Land Cruiser Association. This event will be a multi-day affair! This year\, we will be starting groups for the “Overland Experience” on Tuesday\, Wednesday\, and Thursday\, camping along the new route called “The Kentucky River Route.” You will have the option to join one of these groups or join us Friday (self guided rides only) and Saturday at Callie’s Campground for guided rides\, food\, good times\, and a raffle. If you are doing the overland experience\, Friday and Saturday are included. Camping at Callie’s Lake and Campground is not included and needs to be arranged separately.
